AIX-EN-PROVENCE, FRANCE:
As a 2017 FEA Scholar, I completed a two-month course of study in Aix-en-Provence, France. With a focus on improved grammar and fluency. Our gastronomy coursework highlighted the history, cultivation, and sustainability practices of the UNESCO Mediterranean Diet.
HONG KONG:
As a 2018 Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholar with a focus on a Critical Need Language (Putonghua), I spent 8-months studying the language and living in Hong Kong. Coursework included: Dyeing Technology, Quality Management, Smart Technology for Wearable Textiles, and Fashion Cultural Studies. As a RISE - Global Youth Scholar, I also completed a semester-long service learning curriculum. Culminating in a 2-week service assignment assisting orphaned youths and disabled elders in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) & An Giang, Vietnam.
